Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)

Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)

Product: Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
Molecular Formula: HO(CH2CH2O)nH
CAS No.: 25322-68-3

Product Description: Polyethylene glycol is a high-molecular-weight polymer that is non-irritating, non-toxic, slightly bitter in taste, and has good water solubility and high solubility with many organic compounds. Its properties vary according to the molecular weight, ranging from a colorless and odorless viscous liquid to a waxy solid. At room temperature, polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 200~600 is a liquid, while above 600 it will gradually become semi-solid. Different properties arise with different average molecular weights. As the molecular weight increases, its moisture absorption capacity decreases. Polyethylene glycol is soluble in water, ethanol and many other organic solvents. It has low vapor pressure, and it is stable to heat, acid, and alkali. It does not react with many chemicals, and has good moisture absorption, lubricity and adhesion.

Application: Polyethylene glycol has excellent lubricating, moisturizing, dispersing, and adhering properties. It can function as an antistatic agent, softener, etc. in industries such as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemical fibers, rubber, plastics, papermaking, paints, electroplating, pesticides, metal processing and food processing.

Packaging: 25KG kraft paper packaging (molecular weight 2000-8000) or 20KG kraft paper packaging (molecular weight 10000/20000).

Storage: Store in a cool, dry environment
